Adopt a Reptile

Southeastern Reptile Rescue often has reptiles in need of adoption. If you are intersted in adopting a reptile, complete the Reptile Adoption Form. If your application is approved, we will contact you when we have a reptile available that you are willing to adopt.

We do not list specific species available on our web site. We do this to help prevent individuals from "shopping" and adopting snakes only to turn around and sell them. We intend to adopt out reptiles to individuals that intend on giving the animal a proper, permanent home.  If your application is approved and we do not have the species that you wish to adopt, your application is kept on file with us until a suitable animal becomes available. Due to our application process, many of the animals that are donated to us already have homes waiting on them before we even get them. So, get your application in today to be added to our waiting list.

We do not ship reptiles.
Reptiles adopted from us must be picked
up in person in Milner, Georgia.

Venomous snakes, indigenous reptiles of the Southeastern U.S. and
crocodilians are only adopted out to qualified, licensed facilities.
 

Donate a Reptile

Reptiles will only be taken in if there is sufficient room for it at our facility. We do not pick up donated animals. If you'd like to donate your reptile, it will need to be delivered to Southeastern Reptile Rescue in Milner, GA at a mutually agreed upon date and time. Currently, we are accepting Snakes, Crocodilians and Tortoises only as space allows. We are unable to accept Aquatic Turtles or Lizards at this time. However, you may still complete a donation form for aquatic turtles or lizards. If an adoption form is submitted and approved for an aquatic turtle or lizard, we will assist in connecting you with the potential adopter. 

What happens to animals that are donated to Southeastern Reptile Rescue?
Animals that are taken in by us are either released back into the wild (native species only), adopted out to a suitable home or are kept by us to assist in educational programs.

Southeastern Reptile Rescue is always in need of feeder animals including mice, rats and rabbits. If you have any of these items that you would be willing to donate to us please contact us with the information.
