Most people that call us for an Ecological Property Evaluation have usually seen a snake or maybe even several snakes on their property and believe they are infested. During our inspection, we try to locate and remove any snake that we may find but more importantly we try to identify attractants that you may have in place. During some of our inspections we do find that some residences are in fact heavily populated with snakes. Although, most of the time this is not the case. A good example of this was seen during a call that we responded to recently. Ms. Ferrin was attempting to remove a large, very rotten stump. While chopping away, she saw the tail of snake hanging out of a crevice and then it stuck its head out. With that, she was done chopping on the stump for the day and decided to give us a call for an Ecological Property Evaluation. Below are some photos of Ms. Ferrin's backyard. During the inspection, we did locate three snakes in the rotton log. Fortunately, they were harmless midland brown snakes.
Below is a letter we received from Ms. Ferrin the next day. Jason, I just wanted to say a great big thank you for coming out last night to address my very harmless snake situation. I truly won't be happy until I get rid of that stump - J - but I feel much more calm about the backyard after spending a few hours with you and Sarah. I am going to try to make one of your next seminars and look forward to learning a whole lot more!
